Newspaper is a history collection of politics, economy, society, and culture each day, which makes us understand from the past to the present.
As the first museum dedicated to the story of newspaper in Korea, the mission is not only to increase public understanding of the paper media for general visitors and youths, but also to function as archives of the press culture for researchers.

The Presseum is located on the fifth and sixth floor of Seoul cultural heritage building which was built as the headquarters of the Dong-a Ilbo in 1926 and published the newspaper until 1992.
Permanent exhibition
5th floor exhibition hall : the history of Korean newspaper
Here is where you can look at the history of the newspaper fully filled with society and cultures of times and understand how to publish the newspaper. It starts with the prologue which gathers newspapers worldwide dated 1 January 2000.

6th floor: media lounge
Here is the open place where you can get to know more about newspaper through various experiences.
- Newspaper Quiz : the games of various difficulty levels are waiting!
- Newspaper making : Create your own copy of newspaper by taking pictures and writing articles by yourself.
- Korean journalists: meet 42 journalists who led the 130-year history of Korean newspapers.

Special exhibition
Hours
Tuesday - Sunday, 10:00 - 18:30 (ticketing closed at 18:00)
- If there is special exhibitions at Ilmin Museum of Art, it operates until 19:00 (ticketing closed at 18:30)
- Closed every Monday, January 1, Lunar New Year’s Day, Chuseok, Tuesday~Sunday on the first week of March and September
Admission fees
Adults KRW 4,000
Students (elementary, middle, high school, university) KRW 3,000
- Free admission for preschool, senior citizens from 65 years old, and disabled people and companion holding welfare card.
- Every Wednesday lunch time(11:30~13:30) : Free admission for workers holding business card or name card
- Student rate will be applied to ISIC holders up to age 24. (show valid ISIC at ticket office on site.)
Culture day’ special fees
Adults KRW 2,000
Students KRW 1,500
- ‘Culture day’ is the last Wednesday of every month.
- Discounted ticket is valid for one day only.
- Separate admission fees may be required for special exhibitions.
