At present, Pardubice theatre, build in 1909, belongs to the most visited theatres in the Czech Republic. In its repertoire you colud find famous world dramas, well known musicals and comedies as well. Besides the historical building, actors act on a small, chamber stage and during summer in a nearby castle Kunětice Mountain. Theatre realizes about 360 of our own performances a year and another 100 projects from other theatres. The East Bohemian Theatre also organises the unique and competitive Comedy Festival, which takes place every year in January.
