The wide and highway-viewable glacier looks as if it were the "roof" of the High Tatras - skiers will be dazzled by the far-reaching view to the south and west, where the panorama is dominated by the unmistakable spire of the Grossglockner, and after climbing to the summit ridge, you can also enjoy the northward direction into the Gasteinaertal valley.
From the 3,000m Schareck peak (3,122m), the typical wide red and blue trails roll along the clear glacial plain, which in both the sporty and moderate versions run down to the Klühspies dam (2,417m). Opposite the main glacier slope is the new Alteck 4-seater with a 300m vertical drop and pleasantly steep black and red runs. The main, red-marked run from the Eissee station (2,800m) to the metro is fairly gentle apart from the finish, with only the steeper and twisting black option in the upper section.
The fast and comfortable transport backbone of the glacier area consists of a 6-seater cabin and an adjoining covered 6-seater, the off-glacier lines are served by slower chairlifts.
