The issuer of ISIC cards has a new Director of Operations

The multinational GTS Alive Group, which among other things issues and manages ISIC student cards and ITIC teacher cards, has established a new position of Operations Director. Radek Schich, who has led the Czech branch of the group since January 2019, has taken on this role. In his new position, he will be responsible for managing IT projects across all 17 countries of the group as well as a number of other operational matters. By virtue of his role, he will also be one of the five members of the group’s top management. The entire GTS Alive Group is managed from Prague.

„IT products and applications are becoming increasingly important in our business; for example, the physical ISIC student card is gradually transitioning to a digital version on mobile phones. My task will be to systematize the work of the IT department and ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of finished products for all 17 countries. In addition, I will continue to serve as the director of the Czech branch, which is by far the largest within the GTS Alive Group and the main source of revenue,“ says Radek Schich.

Radek Schich has been with the Czech branch of GTS Alive for over ten years. He started in a sales position focused on secondary schools. Gradually, he advanced through roles as sales director and HR director to his current position as director of GTS Alive Czech Republic, which he has held for four years. During his tenure, he successfully guided the company through the challenging COVID period, not only avoiding stagnation but even increasing turnover. Radek Schich is now moving up to the leadership level of the entire group.

Radek Schich is 40 years old. He studied Czech studies at Charles University in Prague. He is married and has three children. His hobbies include nature trips and reading. As a leader, he dislikes a directive approach, preferring informed co-decision-making with colleagues based on open communication and joint discussion.

In addition to his mentioned roles, Radek Schich also serves as chairman of the Alive Cares association. This organization is connected with the GTS Alive Group and aims to support students in the area of mental health and raise awareness in this field.
