Vertigo Pole Fitness was established in 2011 as a sports project, whose aim was to raise awareness on pole dancing/fitness as a sports discipline. A year later the founder opened her studio in Prague, which moved the whole project to a higher level. Vertigo (from the Latin name inspired by "dizziness) within the first year spawned the Czech Association of Pole Dance & Fitness and became even more famous with popular contests such as the Pole Battle League - combat acrobatic dancers on the pole.
